Background The Bureau of Reclamation, Upper Colorado Basin Region, Albuquerque Area Office, is seeking a contractor for sewage pumping services at the Elephant Butte Historic District Dam Site Recreation Area. This contract aims to ensure reliable wastewater management through scheduled and as-needed pumping services, maintaining system integrity, preventing overflow conditions, and reducing odors. The Elephant Butte Dam was authorized for construction in 1905 and has a significant historical context with numerous structures within the Historic District. Work Details The contractor will provide sewer lift station pumping services, which include: 1. Mandatory Weekly Service: Pump wastewater twice per week throughout the contract period. The Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) may increase mandatory weekly services based on sewage levels during peak seasons. 2. As-Needed Service: Perform additional pumping as requested by the COR up to a specified limit. Only personnel authorized by the COR can place orders for these services. 3. Mobilization of equipment and personnel to the lift station site. 4. Pumping and removal of wastewater as directed. 5. Transporting and disposing of wastewater at an approved treatment facility in compliance with regulations. 6. Documentation for each pumping event including date, time, volume pumped, disposal location, and operator signature. 7. The contractor must furnish all necessary equipment including transportation vehicles, pump trucks, hoses, fittings, spill containment materials, disinfectants, water for operations, personal protective equipment (PPE), labor, and supervision.
