Background The Cincinnati Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) is seeking a contractor to provide complete construction services for the 'Replace iDXA C211' project. The goal of this project is to replace the existing iDXA scanner in Room C211, perform minor architectural renovations, install a ceiling-mounted patient lift, and make necessary electrical and data upgrades. This initiative aims to ensure proper functionality of diagnostic equipment and enhance patient care capabilities. Work Details The scope of work includes: 1) Site verification of Room C211 and documentation of existing conditions; 2) Removal of the existing sink fixture and capping plumbing lines for reuse; 3) Demolition of the existing fume hood and associated supports; 4) Removal of surface-mounted power/data raceway and wall preparation for patching and painting; 5) Patching and painting walls and ceilings as required; 6) Installation of a new wall-mounted stainless steel sink; 7) Installation of a ceiling-mounted patient lift per manufacturer specifications; 8) Provision of new in-wall electrical power and data connections for the iDXA scanner and ceiling lift; 9) Conducting hazardous material testing and abatement if necessary; 10) Implementing infection control measures within ICRA guidelines; 11) Participation in construction period services including submittal review, RFIs, and site visits. Period of Performance All phases of work, including project closeout documentation, are to be completed within 150 calendar days after issuance of the Notice To Proceed (NTP). Place of Performance Work will take place in Room C211, Building #1, Cincinnati VAMC.
