Work Details The Contractor shall perform the following tasks: 1. Install new epoxy flooring in Operating Room 2 and new safety padding flooring in room C-5018 as per the Technical Requirements and VHA Master Construction Specifications. 2. Remove existing furniture from the OR suite and store it onsite as designated by the VA COR. 3. Remove all epoxy flooring in OR 2 and prepare concrete flooring for a urethane flooring system according to manufacturer recommendations. 4. Install approximately 680 sq. ft. of monolithic, multi-component epoxy chemistry flooring system with a thickness between 3/16 inch and 1/4 inch, including a 6-inch integral cove base that transitions smoothly into the wall without gaps larger than 1/32 inch. The preferred epoxy system is Sherwin Williams Hybri-Flex EC. 5. For room C-5018, prepare existing epoxy flooring for installation of approximately 116 sq. ft. of new safety padding flooring system, ensuring it is seamless and integral with existing wall padding, using Gold Medal Safety Padding. 6. Implement all necessary infection control measures during construction, including temporary barriers and particulate monitoring due to the high-risk environment of the Operating Suite. 7. Dispose of all construction debris according to regulations. Period of Performance The period of performance for this contract is 90 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed.
