Background The 846th Test Squadron (846 TS), part of the 704th Test Group, operates the Holloman High Speed Test Track (HHSTT) to execute rocket-sled test simulations for critical Department of War systems. A critical upcoming mission requires the movement and placement of eight large concrete targets. The primary crane, a 200-ton Shuttlelift Gantry Crane, is currently inoperable due to a critical failure, which poses a risk of delaying essential National Defense programs. Therefore, a temporary solution in the form of a mobile crane rental service is required to ensure timely completion of the mission and delivery of tested systems to the warfighter. Work Details The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, materials, supervision, and other items necessary to provide and operate a 900-ton class mobile hydraulic crane. The service will include: - Mobilization: Transport, assembly, and setup of the crane and associated equipment at the work site. - Crane Operation: Operation of the crane for up to 80 hours to safely move and set eight concrete targets. - Demobilization: Complete disassembly, cleaning, and removal of the crane and all contractor-provided equipment from the site upon completion of work. The contractor must provide a mobile hydraulic crane (e.g., Liebherr LTM 1400-7.1 or equivalent) that meets or exceeds performance requirements including a minimum lift capability of 320,000 lbs at a working radius of 28 ft. All necessary support equipment must also be included. Period of Performance The work shall be performed from approximately April 1, 2026, to April 24, 2026. Place of Performance The work will be performed at the Holloman High Speed Test Track (HHSTT), Holloman Air Force Base (AFB), NM.
