Background The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA North Texas, has a requirement for the replacement of eight existing PTZ cameras with new Avigilon 8MP PTZ cameras on the rooftop and the installation of three new cameras in the executive office at the Dallas VA Medical Center. The current cameras are non-functional and need to be replaced to enhance physical security, thereby providing a safer environment for patients and staff. Work Details The contractor shall replace eight existing PTZ cameras with new Avigilon 8MP PTZ cameras and provide and install three new cameras as outlined in the Statement of Work. The contractor must furnish all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, management supervision, and other items necessary to perform all cable installation tasks and ensure all eight cameras function properly. Specific tasks include: - Install Category 6 Ethernet cables for high-speed internet connectivity. - Terminate cables at designated wall plates and patch panels with proper labeling. - Ensure cable management adheres to industry standards. - Test and certify all data drops for connectivity using industry-standard testing tools. - Install new Avigilon cameras to meet physical security requirements. - Preprogram cameras with IP addresses provided by the Dallas VA Medical Center. - Verify that all cameras are configured correctly and functioning as designed. - Provide necessary POE injectors for each camera utilizing existing switches provided by the Dallas VA.
