PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The requirement is for construction of Taggart Lake Parking Lot and Trailhead Area and Cottonwood Creek Picnic Area, Grand Teton National Park (GRTE, Park), Teton County, Wyoming. The Park entrance is located on Teton Park Road, northwest of US HWY 89 near Moose, Wyoming. The Taggart Lake Parking Lot and Trailhead Area are accessed by Teton Park Road, approximately 4.8 miles northwest of Moose, WY. The Cottonwood Creek Picnic Area is approximately 5.2 miles northwest of Moose, WY, or 0.4 miles northeast of the Taggart Lake Parking Lot. The work includes construction of a 140-vehicle paved parking lot for Taggart Lake Trailhead. Also included is the extension of a paved multi-use path to the trailhead area. The trailhead includes site furnishings like comfort stations, drinking fountain, three-panel kiosk, masonry seat wall, boulders, and benches. This project will improve well-used areas and increase the parking capacity and accessibility. Specifications and other supporting documents are attached and incorporated herein. Refer to SECTION J.
