Late bids or amendments will be considered non-responsive and will not be opened or accepted for evaluation. Faxed or oral proposals will not be accepted. Background The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, Division of Program Management and Administration, is issuing this Invitation to Bid (ITB) for a one-time purchase of Grader Blades. The goal is to procure these blades for delivery to various locations in Northern Alaska, ensuring that the State's transportation infrastructure is maintained effectively. Work Details The contract involves the supply of Grader Blades with specific requirements: - **Regular Curved Blades / Heat Treated**: Must be heat treated with a Rockwell hardness of 43 to 55 or Brinell hardness of 408 to 548. They should have bolt hole spacing of 3 inches apart for the first two holes on each end and 6 inches apart for the remaining holes. Available sizes include lengths of 4 feet, 6 feet, or 7 feet, widths of 8 inches, and thicknesses of either 3/4 inch or 1 inch. - **Scarifier Blades**: Two types are required: - **1.4” Tooth Width**: Heat treated with a Rockwell hardness of 38 to 50. Lengths available are 3 feet, 4 feet, 6 feet, 7 feet, or 8 feet. - **2.5” Tooth Width**: Similar heat treatment specifications as above with the same length options. Period of Performance The delivery period for the Grader Blades is set between July 1, 2026 and September 30, 2026. Place of Performance Delivery locations include various sites in Northern Alaska as specified in the Bid Schedule. Bidder Requirements Bidders must hold a valid Alaska business license and provide proof with their bid. They must also comply with federal and state laws including the Civil Rights Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Bids must remain valid for at least 90 days. Additionally, bidders must not use subcontractors or joint ventures for this contract.
