Interior Painting Project

This notice announces that sealed bid proposals will be accepted by North Star Academy Charter School of Newark, Inc. for the Interior Painting Project at 43 Alexander Street, Newark, NJ 07106. The estimated cost of the project is $125,000. The scope of work includes interior painting of classrooms, office/administrative rooms, hallways, auditorium, and ductwork. The work is scheduled to commence on June 12, 2026, with substantial completion expected by August 3, 2026. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is the only opportunity for prospective bidders to access the site. Bidders must attend this meeting to review all instructions and contract documents regarding scheduling requirements and obligations. Bidders must submit a bid bond amounting to 10% of the proposed contract price, not exceeding $20,000. Proposals will be accepted from bidders registered with the Division of Revenue and Department of Labor and classified by the Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC). Sealed bid proposals must be submitted by April 1, 2026, at 4:00 PM (local time). Bids can be delivered via U.S. Mail, Federal Express, UPS, Courier, or Hand Delivery to North Star Academy Charter School of Newark, Inc., Attn: Mo Diop, 43 Alexander Street, Newark, NJ 07106. Late submissions will be returned unopened. The first mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on March 18, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the project site, with a second conference to be scheduled at the discretion of the Owner. Documents, including plans and specifications, will be available electronically for a fee of $25.
