Fa ade Repairs

This notice is to inform that sealed bid proposals will be received by North Star Academy Charter School of Newark, Inc. for the Fa ade Repairs project at 72 Central Avenue, Newark, NJ 07102. The estimated cost for the project is $75,000. The scope of work includes brick pointing, painting, concrete repair, and railing repair. The work is scheduled to commence on June 12, 2026, with substantial completion expected by August 3, 2026. There will be mandatory pre-bid meetings for prospective bidders to access the site. Bidders must attend these meetings to review all instructions and contract documents regarding scheduling requirements and obligations. Bidders must submit a Bid Bond equal to 10% of the proposed contract price, not exceeding $20,000. Proposals will be accepted from bidders registered with the Division of Revenue and Department of Labor, and classified by the Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction. Sealed bids will be received until April 1, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the specified address, after which bids will be opened publicly. The first mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on March 18, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the project location. A second Pre-Bid Conference may be scheduled at the discretion of the Owner. Attendance at both conferences is required for bid acceptance. Documents, including plans and specifications, can be obtained electronically for a fee of $25. Payment must be made via money order or bank check to North Star Academy Charter School of Newark, Inc.
