Solicitation number 1232SA26Q0165 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for yearly inspections and tuning of the boilers at the USDA, ARS in Ames, IA. This acquisition is not set-aside for small business concerns. The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 238290 The small business size standard is $22 million. The purpose of amendment number 1 is to add the requirement for an NBIC certification to Section 2.0 of the Statement of Work, as follows: "The successful vendor is required to have their NBIC certification. The National Board Inspection Code (NBIC) is an internationally recognized standard that governs and maintains rules for the installation, inspection, repair, and alteration of in-service pressure equipment. The NBIC is adopted into law by most US and Canadian jurisdictions. It is the basis for NBBI s four accreditation programs (R, VR, NR, and T/O) and is utilized by more than 5,200 repair organizations in over 60 countries.
