Background The Pisgah Ranger District, part of the USDA Forest Service, is seeking to award a contract for janitorial services at recreation facilities located in the North and South Zones. The goal of this contract is to maintain cleanliness and provide essential services at popular recreational sites that cater to activities such as hiking, biking, camping, and equestrian use. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, supplies, materials, equipment, transportation, incidentals, and supervision necessary for janitorial services at designated trailheads including the Rice Pinnacle Trailhead, Ledford Branch Trailhead, and Black Balsam Trailhead. Specific tasks include: - Cleaning restrooms and maintaining a clean and professional appearance. - Trash removal and disposal off-site. - Year-round service at all sites except Black Balsam Trailhead which is typically inaccessible from December 1 to January 31 due to winter weather road closures. - Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations during service delivery. Period of Performance The contract will have a base period from August 1, 2026 to July 31, 2027, with four additional one-year option periods extending through July 31, 2031. Place of Performance Janitorial services will be performed at various locations within the Pisgah Ranger District in North Carolina.
