Repair MAF Roofs

Background

The project is issued by the Department of the Air Force, specifically the Headquarters 341st Missile Wing (AFGSC). The goal of the contract is to repair and replace roofing systems at six Missile Alert Facilities (MAFs) as part of their ongoing maintenance and operational readiness efforts.

Work Details

The work involves the demolition of existing roofing systems, which includes removing asphalt shingles, underlayment, ice and water shield, gutters, soffit and fascia, as well as all associated flashings, trim, and fasteners. Additionally, existing dormers will be demolished with necessary roof decking repairs. The installation of new roofing systems will include a new asphalt-shingle system as specified in the project drawings, along with new soffit and fascia, and new gutters and downspouts.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed over a period of 126 days after the Notice to Proceed (NTP) is issued.
