Background This solicitation is issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the project titled 'Replace 40 Ton Condenser at Bldg 200' located at the VA Puget Sound Medical Center, American Lake Campus in Tacoma, WA. Work Details The contractor is required to provide all necessary labor, materials, supplies, services, and equipment to complete the following tasks: 1. Demolition and removal of the existing rooftop mounted 40 Ton Refrigerant Condenser. 2. Installation of a new 40 Ton Refrigerant Condenser along with all associated apparatus and infrastructure including condensate piping, refrigerant line-sets, refrigerant evaporators, and connections to an exterior walk-in freezer. 3. All materials must be new and installed according to the manufacturer's installation instructions. 4. The contractor must provide product data on the materials with their proposal. 5. Construction debris and hazardous waste must be disposed of in accordance with Department of Veterans Affairs Infection Control Procedures and Federal and State Environmental Protection Procedures. Period of Performance The contract work must be completed within 249 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP), which includes final cleaning, inspections, corrections, and demobilization from the project site. Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed at Building 200, American Lake Campus, located at 9600 Veterans Drive Southwest, Lakewood, WA 98439.
