Provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, disposal fee, and supervision necessary to provide the annual cleaning of catch basins and manholes, catch basins with pumps, and floor drains. The approximate locations are indicated in the attached drawing. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, and supervision necessary to clean out and remove all debris, including, but not limited to, sand, dirt, mud, decaying organic material, leaves, trash, seed pods, sticks, etc., from all catch basins, manholes, and from street gutters within 20' each direction of the catch basin or manhole. There are approximately 73 catch basins and manholes that require this service. There are 5 catch basins with pumps that require this service. There are 9 floor drains that require this service. There are approximately 20 - 1000-gallon Sediment Separators with manholes that require this service. Clean storm sewer water in the manholes and catch basins may be pumped on to the VA grounds. No water with oil and/or debris may be pumped on to the grounds. Contractor will remove all debris generated by the cleaning operation, dispose of all debris and organic materials collected during the cleaning process and transport it off VAMC grounds for proper disposal.
Background The Boise VA Medical Center is seeking to conduct market research for a contract to provide annual cleaning services for catch basins and manholes, catch basins with pumps, and floor drains. The goal of this contract is to ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of the stormwater management systems at the facility, which aligns with the agency's mission to provide high-quality care and services to veterans. Work Details The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, disposal fees, and supervision necessary for the cleaning of approximately 73 catch basins and manholes, 5 catch basins with pumps, 9 floor drains, and about 20 - 1000-gallon sediment separators with manholes. The tasks include: - Cleaning out and removing all debris such as sand, dirt, mud, decaying organic material, leaves, trash, seed pods, sticks from all specified locations. - Cleaning will extend to street gutters within 20 feet in each direction of the catch basin or manhole. - Clean storm sewer water in the manholes and catch basins may be pumped onto VA grounds; however, no water containing oil or debris may be discharged onto the grounds. - The Contractor is responsible for removing all debris generated during the cleaning operation and ensuring proper disposal off VAMC grounds.
