Background The Fort Knox Qualified Recycle Program (QRP) is issuing this solicitation for the sale of used motor oil and the collection of used anti-freeze. The QRP operates under the mission to manage recyclable materials effectively and sustainably. This contract aims to establish a nonexclusive agreement for the sale and collection of these materials, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for the bi-monthly pick-up of good, bad, and wet used oil as well as used anti-freeze from various collection points on the Fort Knox installation. The estimated annual quantities are between 13,000 to 20,000 gallons of used motor oil and 2,000 to 5,000 gallons of anti-freeze. The contractor must report the breakdown of collected materials and ensure that all spillage is managed immediately. The contractor must provide transportation using an appropriate pump truck with a capacity of approximately 3,600 gallons. Payment will be made based on a per-pound price for good used motor oil and antifreeze. The contractor is required to comply with all applicable laws regarding the handling and transportation of these materials. Period of Performance The contract period is for one year, from March 11, 2026, to March 12, 2027. Place of Performance The work will be performed at various locations on the Fort Knox Army installation in Fort Knox, KY.
