The Bureau of Reclamation, Eastern Colorado Area Office (ECAO), has a requirement for the supply and incidental installation of a new commercially available, water-cooled chiller to replace the existing 50-ton unit located at the ECAO Main Office in Loveland, Colorado. The principal purpose of this acquisition is the purchase of a newly manufactured chiller unit. Installation, removal of the existing unit (including refrigerant recovery and disposal), mechanical and electrical tie-ins, startup, commissioning, and training are incidental to the equipment purchase. The goal of this acquisition is to ensure efficient temperature conditioning for the facility while adhering to environmental standards regarding refrigerant use and energy efficiency. This procurement will be conducted as a supply buy with incidental installation services. Work Details The contractor is required to supply and install a new water-cooled chiller with the following specifications: - **Chiller Type**: Water-cooled, nominal 50-ton rating, designed for commercial building HVAC applications with a 100% duty cycle rating during summer daylight hours. - **Electrical Requirements**: 460 VAC, 3 phase, 60 Hz; minimum supply circuit of 75-amps, maximum overcurrent protection of 100-amps. - **Refrigerant Requirements**: Preferred refrigerant classification A1 per ASHRAE Standard 34; A2L may be considered with appropriate detection systems. - **Noise Requirement**: Operation noise level must be 70dB or less inside the chiller mechanical room when operating. - **Control Panel**: Must include built-in control, diagnostic, and alarm panel for intuitive operation. - **Energy Efficiency**: Compliance with Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) and ASHRAE Standard 90.1. - **Installation Space**: The new chiller must fit within the existing space measuring 9-feet long by 5-feet wide by 6-feet, 6-inches high on a concrete pad that is 5-feet long by 4-feet wide by 3-inches high.
