Background The Naval Construction Training Center (NCTC) Gulfport, Mississippi is seeking Instructor Support Services to fulfill training requirements for military personnel in construction occupational fields. This contract aims to provide both basic and advanced construction training, particularly for Navy Seabee personnel. The NCTC Gulfport operates under the oversight of the Center for Seabees and Facilities Engineering (CSFE) and the Naval Education and Training Command (NETC), with ultimate accountability to the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO). The goal is to ensure that qualified instructors are available to meet the ongoing training needs throughout the year. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for providing fully qualified instructors who have experience in various construction-related courses. The specific tasks include: - Delivering instruction for a range of courses as outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS), including but not limited to: Interservice Builder Apprentice Training, Steelworker Class A, Construction Project Estimating, Concrete and Masonry, Heavy Construction I & II, Welding Supervisor, and various other specialized training programs. - Ensuring that all instructors maintain academic standards and provide remediation as necessary. - Conducting training in both classroom settings and practical lab environments, with classes typically scheduled for eight hours a day, five days a week. - Coordinating with NCTC Gulfport on class schedules and curriculum changes while adhering strictly to approved instructional materials. - Managing classroom environments effectively and maintaining discipline among students. - Providing a Training Master Scheduler to oversee all training logistics. Period of Performance The contract will be performed continuously throughout the year with overlapping classes scheduled as needed to meet training requirements. Place of Performance The services will primarily be performed at the Naval Construction Training Center located in Gulfport, Mississippi.
