Background The U.S. Army The Old Guard (TOG) Military Mounted Battalion (MMB) is responsible for conducting memorial affairs in Arlington National Cemetery, honoring fallen service members and their families. The MMB requires caisson wagons for military funerals and ceremonial missions, particularly in the National Capitol Region. Live Oak LLC is the intended recipient of a sole source contract to provide one MBB Caisson Wagon, which is essential for fulfilling these duties. Work Details The contractor shall manufacture and deliver one MBB Caisson Wagon to 230 Caisson Circle, Joint Base Myer – Henderson Hall (JBM-HH), VA 22211. The wagon must meet all Minimum Essential Characteristics (MECs) currently used in ceremonial missions at Arlington National Cemetery as well as those specified in the Statement of Work (SOW). Key specifications include: - Compliance with all MECs of the existing caisson wagons. - No substitutions in outward appearance without government approval. - Delivery must occur no later than May 1, 2026.
