Background The Ann Arbor VA Medical Center (AAVA), located at 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48105, is seeking to procure one new Liebert A/C unit or an equivalent model for installation in the MRI Control Room of Building 1 East. The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper functioning of air conditioning systems critical for medical operations within the facility. Work Details The contractor is required to provide all necessary staff, management, supervision, labor, tools, parts, materials, and transportation to complete the following tasks: 1. Complete a pre-job safety checklist. 2. Perform Lockout/Tagout procedures in coordination with VA staff. 3. Shutdown and disconnect existing equipment. 4. Remove and properly dispose of existing equipment and related parts. 5. Reclaim all refrigerant from existing equipment. 6. Install new stand-up Liebert A/C units of equivalent quality and performance capability as Liebert Model No. PDX/MC 3-ton air cooled split system utilizing R401A refrigerant with warranties (1-year parts and labor; 5-year compressor). 7. Utilize existing stands for new condensers and install them accordingly. 8. Modify existing piping as necessary and ensure all electrical and data connections are established by the contractor. 9. Start, test, and check the newly installed equipment for proper operation while ensuring all piping is secure and leak-free. 10. Clean up the work area post-installation and remove all debris. Period of Performance The period of performance for this contract work is set at 14 calendar days. Place of Performance All construction tasks will be performed at the Ann Arbor VA Medical Center located at 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48105.
