Background The City of Missoula is seeking bids for the Maloney Ranch STEP Decommissioning Project. This project aims to decommission the Maloney Ranch STEP system, which is part of the city's efforts to manage wastewater effectively and improve local infrastructure. The work will involve significant construction activities along Lower Miller Creek Road and Bigfork Road in Missoula, MT. Work Details The project consists of installing approximately 606 linear feet (LF) of 8-inch SDR 35 PVC sanitary sewer main, two 48-inch sanitary sewer manholes, connections to existing sanitary sewer manholes, disconnecting an existing sewer force main, abandonment of electrical facilities, and decommissioning of the Maloney Ranch STEP system. Additionally, the project includes restoration of disturbed areas such as asphalt, concrete, gravel, landscaping, irrigation, and other miscellaneous work. The work encompasses various trades including piping, concrete, landscaping, paving, and related appurtenances. Period of Performance The contract performance period is set to begin upon award and will continue until all work is completed as specified in the contract documents. Place of Performance The geographic location for this contract is along Lower Miller Creek Road and Bigfork Road in Missoula, Montana. Bidder Requirements Bidders must purchase contract documents through QuestCDN and are required to register with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) prior to bidding. Each bid must include a Certified Check or Bid Bond for at least ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount. Successful bidders must provide a Construction Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond each equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Bidders must also comply with prevailing wage laws and ensure equal opportunity employment.
