Background The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources with experience in the Lean Depot Management System (LDMS) and the expertise to maintain the infrastructure supporting the LDMS within existing USAF legacy systems. This requirement specifically pertains to the USAF Small Arms Depot, which needs to sustain the LDMS for its unique depot repair operations. The Air Force has not committed to procuring any items or services discussed in this RFI, and participation does not guarantee future solicitations or contract awards. All submissions will become Government property and will not be returned. Work Details The contractor will provide LDMS user support, manage accounts, handle help tickets, and perform server administration tasks including backups, security, patches, and hardware failures. Specific tasks include assisting with uploads of equipment inventory, parts/kits, customer names, vendors, tooling, and Illustrated Parts Breakdowns. Expertise is required across all LDMS functional areas. The AFSA Depot performs small arms repairs and provides weapons sustainment in support of the SAPO. The depot also modifies and manufactures special tools and fixtures while evaluating new technologies for small arms requirements. The contractor must ensure continued visibility and traceability of all weapons/parts to meet Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) compliance, maintaining an interface with current legacy systems such as D043-Master Item Identification Control System. Coordination with AFSA Depot and SAPO team members is essential. Place of Performance The contract will be performed at the USAF Small Arms Depot.
