A site visit will be held on Hanscom AFB on Monday 2 March 2026 beginning at 1:00 PM ET. Please be at the Hanscom AFB Visitor Control Center by Sartain Gate (formerly Vandenburg Gate) in Bldg. 1617, Old Bedford Rd., Hanscom AFB, MA, 01731 no later than 12:15 PM ET to allow enough time to obtain visitor passes. The contractor shall obtain base identification and vehicle passes for all visitors. You must contact Mia Orris by 1:00 PM ET on 25 February 2026 to register for the site visit to gain access to the base at mia.orris@us.af.mil. Please courtesy copy kristin.morrison.1@us.af.mil. All contractors MUST pre-register in order to attend. Each individual must possess a REAL ID compliant driver's license or must present a second form of identification along with their non REAL ID-compliant identification, and registration and proof of insurance for each vehicle, including rentals. Please be aware that despite the legalization of marijuana possession in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, under 21 U.S.C. 812 and 21 U.S.C. 844 marijuana possession remains a federal offense, and it is not allowed on Federal installations, including Hanscom AFB. Background The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) and the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) are seeking information from contractors to provide and install a complete and operational Fiber to the Desk (FTTD) system at Hanscom Air Force Base (HAFB), Massachusetts. The goal of this Request for Information (RFI) is to solicit Letters of Interest from potential contractors capable of fulfilling the specified requirements for this project. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Install a fully functional and compliant FTTD system connecting all designated information systems in specified rooms within building 1109. 2. Ensure that 100% of the installed fiber optic strands are tested and certified to meet or exceed performance specifications outlined in TIA/EIA standards. 3. Minimize disruption to daily operations by coordinating all work, especially any network downtime, with the technical point of contact. 4. Deliver complete as-built documentation, including floor plans showing cable routing, rack elevations, and certified test results for all fiber strands, no later than 14 days after installation completion.
