The goal of this contract is to ensure proper waste management during the peak visitor months from May to November each year, while adhering to safety regulations and environmental considerations. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for the collection and disposal of refuse from three Bear Proof/Resistant dumpsters located at Porcupine Ranger Station, Shell Ranger Station, and Burgess Ranger Station. Specific tasks include: - Providing Bear Proof/Resistant dumpsters that have easy opening lids and are in good working condition. - Ensuring that all bagged trash next to or on top of the dumpsters is picked up and disposed of properly. - Picking up any refuse that falls or blows from the receptacles during emptying operations immediately. - Closing all lids and doors after emptying; replacing any malfunctioning lids within five working days. - Responding to service calls within five calendar days when notified by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) that a dumpster needs to be emptied mid-season. - Delivering dumpsters at specified times: between June 15 - September 10 for Porcupine Ranger Station, and between May 28 - November 15 for Shell and Burgess Ranger Stations. - Furnishing motorized equipment for refuse removal that is compatible with forest road conditions. Period of Performance The base period of performance is from May 28, 2026, to November 15, 2026, with four option years extending through November 15, 2030.
