Background The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) is issuing a contract for prairie restoration and seeding at Altus Air Force Base as part of their Fisheries and Aquatic Conservation Program. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Procure native grass seeds according to specifications provided by USFWS. 2. Seed two designated locations: a 21.87-acre area (West Location) and a 4.97-acre area (6.4 Acre Location). 3. Ensure effective seeding methods without tilling, adhering to specified requirements. 4. Prepare the 6.4-acre site for seeding on soil, excluding any remaining open space for a large hole. The West Location has been treated with herbicide and will be burned prior to seeding. Period of Performance The contract period of performance is from March 12, 2026, to March 24, 2026. Place of Performance The work will be performed at Altus Air Force Base, Altus, OK.
