Summary (Newest Update)

Background The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Colorado Grand Junction Field Office has a requirement for the installation of new automatic gates and the relocation of a pedestrian gate. This project aims to enhance physical security at the facility and ensure compliance with BLM Physical Security Regulations. The existing gate systems have become unreliable and pose safety hazards, necessitating the installation of new, functional gates to improve employee and public safety. The specific requirements include: 1. Replacement of an existing vehicle tilt-lift gate on the West side of the facility with a new gate that is compatible with the Gallagher Security System controller and T-21 PIV card reader. 2. Installation of a completely new automatic gate at another end of the property. 3. Relocation of an existing personnel gate from the South side to the North side fenceline, including necessary repairs to the fence. 4. Replacement or relocation of underground wiring connected to the gates. 5. Installation must include safety features such as a Knox Box for emergency access, and all components must be programmed for access control through BLM's Gallagher Command Center software. Period of Performance The contractor shall begin performance within 5 calendar days after receiving award and complete it within 45 calendar days. Place of Performance Grand Junction Field Office, 2815 H Road, Grand Junction, CO 81506.
