Summary (Newest Update)

Background The National Park Service (NPS) is conducting a market survey to assess contractor interest and capability for a potential project involving the replacement of boundary fences at Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The park is located approximately 25 miles south/southwest of Watford City, North Dakota. This survey aims to inform the acquisition strategy based on contractor responses, and participation is voluntary with all associated costs borne by the responding firms. Work Details The project involves removing existing boundary fences and constructing new ones. The work includes: - Base Bid: Remove existing fence and construct new fence starting at the Corral Creek crossing for approximately 4400 linear feet, terminating with new double H-brace corner structures at both ends. - Remove existing suspended fence spans over Corral Creek and an unnamed drainageway, constructing new cable suspended fence structures with welded steel pipe fence panel abutments, expected to span up to 60 linear feet. - Option Bid Item No. 1: Extend an additional 1300 linear feet from the Base Bid termination point to the end of the butte ridgeline. - Option Bid Item No. 2: Construct new fence across a butte saddle for approximately 450 linear feet. The project will include all mobilization, labor, materials, and oversight necessary to complete the work. Period of Performance The anticipated period of performance for the Base Bid is 320 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP), with options for additional time extending it up to 410 calendar days, including a winter weather shutdown from mid-November to late March. Place of Performance The work will be performed at Theodore Roosevelt National Park, located approximately 25 miles south/southwest of Watford City, North Dakota.
