Background The West Virginia Department of Administration, General Services Division (GSD) is seeking bids for Lawn Care Services for Building 88 (Players Club), located at 7 Players Club Drive, Charleston, WV 25311. The goal of this contract is to maintain the landscaping and lawn areas to ensure a clean and aesthetically pleasing environment. Work Details The contract services include: 1. Mowing, Trimming, and Edging Grass: Weekly mowing from April to October, cutting grass to a height of 3.0” to 3-1/2”. Edging around sidewalks and trimming in inaccessible areas. Grass clippings must be removed from hard surfaces. Litter and debris must be cleared before and after mowing. 2. Leaf Blowing and Disposal: Removal of leaves approximately 15 times per year during the fall season. 3. Trimming of Shrubs and Trees: Twice per year trimming of shrubs and trees, ensuring no more than 20% of growth is removed, with all trimmed materials disposed off-site. 4. Overseeding: Once per year overseeding using Wetsel Class Act 2 or an equivalent blend at a rate of 6 lbs. per 1000 square feet using a slit-seeder method. 5. Edging Shrub and Tree Beds: Twice per year edging of shrub beds to a depth of 3-4 inches. Period of Performance The contract will commence upon award and will continue for one year post-award, with potential for renewal upon mutual agreement. Place of Performance Services will be performed at Building 88 (Players Club), located at 7 Players Club Drive, Charleston, WV 25311. Bidder Requirements Vendors must have completed five successful lawn care projects in the past three years and provide references prior to award. They must also comply with all state licensing requirements.
