Background The 316th Contracting Squadron is considering a solicitation for Hangar Door Maintenance and Repair services at Joint Base Andrews (JBA). The goal of this contract is to ensure the continuous and safe operation of aircraft hangar doors in accordance with applicable standards and manufacturer’s instructions. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary management, tools, supplies, equipment, and labor while adhering to Federal, State, and local laws and regulations. Work Details The contractor shall perform the following tasks: 1. **Inspections**: Conduct annual inspections on all aircraft hangar doors and tail/aperture doors, providing a written report within ten business days detailing the door system identification, location, maintenance performed, repairs needed, inspection date, inspector name, and overall condition. 2. **Preventive Maintenance Services**: Provide maintenance services during inspections to ensure reliable operation of the doors according to commercial practices and manufacturer specifications. 3. **Service Calls**: - **Service Hour**: Defined as all personnel, management, tools, and equipment assigned to accomplish a repair or service call per hour on site (excluding travel time). - **Emergency Service Calls**: Respond to emergency situations within four hours of notification and submit a price quotation before starting work. - **Routine Repair Service Calls**: Report to the work location within 24 hours after notification of repairs needed from inspection reports or customer service calls. Repairs should be completed within two business days unless otherwise approved. 4. **Reimbursable Parts**: Obtain necessary parts for contract performance with reimbursement at cost; competition is required for parts costing $3,000 or more. Place of Performance The contract will be performed at Joint Base Andrews (JBA).
