The goal of this contract is to ensure proper grounds maintenance activities are conducted at these recreational areas. Work Details The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to provide ground maintenance activities at the Ball Mountain Lake Project and the Winhall Brook Camping Area (WBCA). Specific tasks include: 1. Conducting spring cleanup to prepare lawn areas and recreation grounds for use by visitors, including removal of debris; 2. Regular mowing using rotary type mowers with protective devices; 3. Trimming with string trimmers that do not damage trees or shrubs; 4. Aeration of soil using core-type equipment; 5. Reporting any damage or vandalism to the TPOC prior to mowing; 6. Ensuring compliance with safety standards as outlined in EM 385-1-1; 7. Maintaining an adequate number of qualified personnel and ensuring employee conduct adheres to federal regulations; 8. Conducting inspections of completed work and addressing deficiencies promptly. Period of Performance The period of performance for this contract will be defined in accordance with the requirements set forth in the solicitation but is expected to span multiple months during the active seasons for grounds maintenance.
