Background The City of Chelsea, Massachusetts, is seeking bids for the City Hall Boiler Replacement project. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for replacing the existing boiler system at Chelsea City Hall. The scope includes: - Removal of the old boiler and associated components. - Installation of a new boiler system that meets current efficiency standards. - Ensuring compliance with all local building codes and regulations. - Providing necessary documentation and warranties for the new installation. - Conducting any required testing and inspections post-installation to ensure operational efficiency. Period of Performance The contract term will commence on or around April 1, 2026, and end on July 31, 2026, with an option to extend at the sole discretion of the City. Bidder Requirements Bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the HVAC category. Each bid must include a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid total. Bidders are also required to submit various certifications including but not limited to: Certificate of Non-Collusion, Tax Compliance Certification, Wage Theft Certification, Living Wage Certification, and OSHA Compliance Certification.
