Stratton Capers 2 Water Line Upgrade - Phase 2

Background

Dorchester County is seeking qualified firms to submit bids for the Stratton Capers 2 Water Line Upgrade - Phase 2 project, funded in part by the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG). The project aims to enhance water infrastructure in the area, ensuring compliance with federal requirements and promoting equal employment opportunities. Bidders must adhere to various federal regulations and engage small and minority-owned businesses.

Work Details

The contractor will provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the project as outlined in Attachments A and B. The scope of work includes: - Installing approximately 2,625 linear feet of 8-inch water main - Four fire hydrants - Twelve 8-inch gate valves - Sixty-three service reconnections - All necessary appurtenances and incidentals as specified in the contract documents.

Period of Performance

The substantial completion of the project must be achieved within 120 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Final completion is expected within 30 calendar days after substantial completion.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed in Dorchester County, South Carolina.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be registered in the federal System for Award Management (SAM) and comply with various federal laws including the Davis-Bacon Act and Build America, Buy America Act. A bid bond of at least 5% of the total bid amount is required for bids over $25,000. Successful bidders must also provide performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of the contract amount.
