Background The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources for the EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades Construction project at the Pittsburgh VA Medical Center located in Pittsburgh, PA. The goal of this contract is to upgrade the infrastructure to support the new Electronic Health Records Modernization (EHRM) system across multiple buildings on the VAPHS University Drive VA campus. Work Details The scope of work includes construction modifications at multiple existing buildings on the VAPHS University Drive VA campus, specifically impacting Buildings 1, 5, 8, 29, 30, 33, and associated site areas. The total existing space affected is approximately 3,030 SF with an additional new tower addition of 11,600 SF. Upgrades will involve: - Construction of new towers; - Renovation of existing rooms and telecommunication closets; - Relocation and reconfiguration of spaces; - Expansion involving new walls, doors, and finishes throughout each area. Bid work will be based on 'EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades' Drawings and Specifications prepared by AWEN Solutions dated June 13, 2025. Compliance with VA 'Infrastructure Standard for Telecommunications Spaces (ISTS) V4.0' dated June 1, 2023 is required. The project includes General Construction and associated trades such as Structural, Mechanical and HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection, Electric, Information Technology, and Civil work. Additionally, the VA Physical Security Design and Resiliency Manual (PDRSM) requirements must be incorporated into the construction.
