Background The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Columbia Environmental Research Center (CERC) in Columbia, MO, has a requirement to renovate Well No. 1. The goal of this contract is to ensure the maintenance and operational efficiency of water supply facilities as part of the agency's mission to provide reliable scientific information about the environment. Work Details The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary for the renovation of Well No. 1 at CERC in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW). Specific tasks include: - Renovation work must comply with indoor air quality standards during construction. - Control contaminants at the source and ensure that GSA indicator levels for carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and formaldehyde are not exceeded. - Sequence installation of materials to minimize VOC emissions and ensure proper ventilation during and after application of noxious chemicals. - Erect barriers to minimize interference with occupants during adjacent demolition or construction work. - Conduct a final flush-out period before occupancy to ensure air quality standards are met. Period of Performance The contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days and complete it within 30 calendar days after receiving the award and notice to proceed.
