Background The Federal Prison Industries, Inc. (UNICOR) is seeking sources to supply furniture systems parts and components for the manufacture of office furniture. UNICOR's mission is to provide meaningful work opportunities for inmates while producing quality products and services. This Request for Information (RFI) aims to gather information to develop an Acquisition Strategy for potential contractors. Work Details Offerors are required to provide a comprehensive list of specifications for systems locks and components used in the manufacture of office furniture. The products will be utilized in the production of various types of wood case goods and metal filing cabinets. Specific items include: - Fabric acoustical panels (66" high with electrical capabilities) - Laminate surfaces with flat 2M edge - Fabric overhead units with task lights - Mobile pedestals (pencil/box/file) - Paper management tool rail and accessories - Tackboards. The solicitation includes multiple monolithic designs (A, B, C, D) and freestanding modular desking options (A, B) with various specifications such as powered/non-powered options and wire management capabilities. A detailed list of requirements includes: - Monolithic A: Two 30" wide 2-high lateral files, mobile pedestal pencil/box/file. - Monolithic B: Clear glass panels, center pencil drawer. - Freestanding Modular Desking A: Privacy screens, wire management capabilities.
