Background The University of New Mexico Hospital (UNMH) is seeking qualified construction firms to provide Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) services for the Lomas Bridge Revitalization Project. This project aims to enhance the existing Lomas Bridge, ensuring it serves as a prominent connection between the staff parking structure and UNM Hospital while reflecting the architectural significance of its location. Work Details The CMAR contractor will be responsible for providing comprehensive construction delivery services, including but not limited to: 1) Structural work, building envelope, plumbing/drainage, signage, electrical and access control systems; 2) Development of three bridge design options and two alteration options that incorporate a Pueblo Revival theme; 3) Creation of 3D renderings and animations for stakeholder review; 4) Collaboration with the design team on design reviews, comments, constructability assessments, cost estimation, and overall construction efforts; 5) Implementation of a canopy for a covered walkway from the garage to the Ambulatory Care Center; 6) Installation of video message boards with maintenance platforms. The project must comply with all applicable codes including ADA requirements. Period of Performance The contract will be performed over a period of 120 calendar days from the start date. Place of Performance The work will be conducted at the University of New Mexico Hospital located in Albuquerque, NM. Bidder Requirements Bidders must possess: A contractor's license for the type of work to be performed as per the Construction Industries Licensing Act; registration under Section 13-4-13.1 NMSA 1978; and sufficient bonding capacity to cover the entire project value.
