Background

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) is planning to solicit bids for a single firm-fixed-price contract for the design-bid-build EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades construction project at the Lexington VA Health Care System (VAHCS) Franklin R. Sousley Campus located at 2250 Leestown Road, Lexington, KY 40511. The goal of this contract is to enhance the infrastructure supporting electronic health record management. Work Details: The Lexington-Leestown VAMC requires a general contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary for the EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades construction project. The scope of work includes: general construction, alterations, telecommunications, electrical work, HVAC installation, plumbing services, hazardous waste removal, and other relevant disciplines. Specific tasks include the expansion of existing telecommunication rooms (TRs), power upgrades, replacement of existing data cabling with CAT6A cabling, and renovation of the existing data center to accommodate power/data/equipment/HVAC requirements. All work must comply with provided drawings and specifications. Period of Performance: Approximately 660 calendar days from the issuance of the notice to proceed.
