Background The Dover Air Force Base Chapel is seeking a Catholic Religious Education Coordinator to manage and teach the religious education program for all ages, in coordination with the Chaplain. This contract aims to provide faith-specific duties related to the Catholic Religious Education Director role, supporting the mission of the Department of the Air Force and the Air Force Chaplain Corps. Work Details The contractor shall provide all personnel, labor, materials, and transportation necessary for non-personal services in support of the Dover Chapel. Responsibilities include serving as coordinator, teacher, facilitator, and organizer of the Catholic religious education program for ages 1 through adult. The contractor will utilize workspace and equipment provided by the Wing Chaplain and must furnish necessary supplies with prior approval. The role requires high levels of coordination with military and civilian authorities and an understanding of diverse faith traditions. The contractor must comply with mission requirements set by the Department of the Air Force. Specific tasks include: 1) Submitting to a Criminal History Background Check and Installation Records Check (IRC); 2) Ensuring volunteers working with youth receive appropriate background checks; 3) Tracking background check badges issued to program leaders; 4) Assisting the Chaplain in planning and decision-making related to the RE program. Period of Performance The contract requires a minimum of 15 hours per week on-site, including Sundays from 0800-1300, with additional hours during peak seasons such as Christmas and Easter.
