Background The contract is issued by the Dover Air Force Base Chapel, which is part of the Department of the Air Force and the Air Force Chaplain Corps. The mission of this contract is to provide music leadership for Protestant Contemporary and Gospel services, ensuring a high degree of coordination and cooperation with military and civilian activities. The goal is to support worship services while adhering to the standards set forth by the Air Force Chaplain Corps. Work Details The contractor shall provide all personnel, labor, materials, and transportation necessary for non-personal services in support of Sunday Catholic Mass and Protestant worship services. This includes providing one music director and one music accompanist for two Catholic Masses and one Protestant worship service each week. Specific duties include: - Director of Catholic Music: Responsible for leading rehearsals (1 rehearsal per week covering 2 Mass performances), with a total of 6 units per week (maximum 384 units annually including special events). Rehearsals are 1-2 hours long, as are performances. - Director of Protestant Music: Responsible for leading rehearsals (4 units per week covering 1 performance), with a total of 4 units per week (maximum 232 units annually including special events). Rehearsals are also 1-2 hours long, as are performances. The contractor must demonstrate understanding of various faith groups and comply with mission requirements.
