NYS OPRHP is seeking best and final quotes for the purchase and installation of 2 control units for the reverse osmosis (RO) water system at Lake Taghkanic State Park in Ancram, NY. Background The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (NYS OPRHP) is seeking quotes for the purchase and installation of reverse osmosis (RO) controllers at Lake Taghkanic State Park. The goal of this contract is to replace obsolete equipment to ensure the efficient operation of the water system, which is critical for park operations. Work Details The contractor will provide and install 2 new stand-alone control units for the reverse osmosis water system at Lake Taghkanic State Park. These units will replace the non-operational Osmonics 2450 model controllers. The specifications include: - System flow rate: approximately 25 GPM - Total gallons: up to 24,000 GPD - Must include PLC panels with HMI (human machine interface) programming, electrical and mechanical specifications/drawings, and all necessary mounting hardware. Scope of work includes: - Conducting a safety walk-through - Lockout & tagout of the existing RO system - Removal of old controllers - Mounting and wiring of new controllers with programmed settings - Setting alarm setpoints - Starting up the system and checking operation - Providing an Operation and Maintenance Manual & Thumb Drive - Training for Water Treatment Operators on the new system. Period of Performance The contract work is expected to commence after award and must be completed by February 13, 2026. Place of Performance Lake Taghkanic State Park, located at 1528 State Route 82, Ancram NY 12502, Columbia County. Bidder Requirements Bidders must conduct a mandatory site visit prior to submitting their quotes. Additionally, good faith efforts should be made to include Minority/Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOB) in subcontracting opportunities.
