Background The Texas A&M University System is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide specialized consulting services for the planning, oversight, and qualification of semiconductor research tools within a new cleanroom facility for the Texas A&M Semiconductor Institute (TSI). The A&M System is one of the largest higher education systems in the U.S., with a mission to advance education, research, and outreach. This initiative aims to support advanced semiconductor research through a state-of-the-art facility covering approximately 82,000 gross square feet. Work Details The selected Respondent will be responsible for: A. Pre-Installation Planning: - Utility Requirements Analysis: Assessing utility needs for each semiconductor tool including electrical power, gases, water, and other utilities. - Facility Interface Design: Creating detailed interface drawings for connecting tools to utility systems. - Equipment Layout and Placement: Developing layout plans considering workflow optimization and safety regulations. - Logistics and Scheduling: Creating a logistics plan for tool delivery and staging. B. Coordination with Trades: Facilitating coordination meetings with trades involved in installation. C. On-Site Supervision of Installation Activities: Providing supervision during installation to ensure compliance with specifications and safety protocols. D. Qualification of Installed Tools: Developing qualification protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ) and executing qualification tests to ensure tools meet performance specifications. E. Knowledge Transfer: Developing training materials for TSI staff on cleanroom protocols and tool installation best practices. Period of Performance The contract will be effective upon final execution for a period of three (3) years, with the possibility of extending for two additional one-year terms upon mutual agreement. Place of Performance The services will be performed at the Texas A&M Semiconductor Institute's new cleanroom facility located in Texas. Bidder Requirements Respondents must demonstrate experience in cleanroom tool installation coordination and provide a HUB subcontracting plan as the total expected value exceeds $100,000. Additionally, respondents must comply with insurance requirements as outlined in Exhibit C.
