This sources sought notice is for informational and planning purposes only. Pricing information is not being requested at this time. It does not constitute a solicitation and is not to be considered as a commitment by the Government. REQUIREMENT: This notice is issued by the U.S. Air Force, 92d Contracting Squadron, Fairchild AFB, WA. This sources sought is seeking to identify responsible potential sources to provide UTV and Snow Machine Maintenance and Repair Services for Detachment 1 of the 66th TRS located at Eielson AFB, AK. The UTV and Snow Machine Maintenance and Repair Services must meet the specifications in accordance with the attached draft Statement of Work.

Background The U.S. Air Force, specifically the 92d Contracting Squadron at Fairchild AFB, WA, is seeking to identify authorized businesses capable of providing UTV and Snow Machine Maintenance and Repair Services for Detachment 1 of the 66th TRS located at Eielson AFB, AK. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the maintenance and repair services meet the necessary specifications outlined in the draft Statement of Work. Work Details The contractor shall provide all personnel and equipment required to perform recurring service and maintenance inspections on Utility Vehicles (UTVs) and Snow machines assigned to Detachment 1 of the 66th TRS. All work must comply with manufacturer’s best practices as well as local, state, and federal laws. The contractor is responsible for performing routine maintenance inspections on UTVs and Snow machines, which includes: - For UTVs: a. Replace engine oil and filter b. Clean or replace engine air filter as necessary c. Inspect gear case and gear case oil d. Inspect belts and clean clutches e. Inspect brake system f. Check wheel bearings (repack or replace as necessary) g. Inspect suspension and drive train h. Inspect axle boots i. Check tire pressure j. Check coolant and brake fluid levels k. Lubricate machine. - For Snow Machines: a. Perform engine compression test b. Inspect air intake screen, clean or replace as needed c. Inspect clutch alignment and drive belt d. Check driven clutch and drive belt tension, adjust as necessary e. Inspect engine mount bolts f. Inspect recoil handle and rope g. Re-torque head bolts and engine torque link h. Inspect spark plugs (replace as necessary) i. Inspect exhaust system retaining springs j. Inspect cooling system for leaks k. Inspect brake system and hoses for leaks and proper routing l. Check idle RPM and adjust as necessary m. Inspect fuel filter, replace as necessary n. Inspect lights and switches for proper operation o. Inspect suspension mounting bolts p. Inspect and lubricate jackshaft bearing q. Inspect skies and carbide runners r. Inspect and adjust track tension and alignment. Place of Performance The services will be performed within a service facility located within a radius of 50 miles from Eielson AFB, AK.
