Background

The 131st Mission Support Group contracting office is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) to award a single firm-fixed price contract for non-personal services to replace the roof system on Building 61 at Jefferson Barracks Air National Guard Station. The project aligns with the agency's mission to maintain and enhance facilities critical to their operations, ensuring safety and compliance with historical preservation guidelines. Work Details: The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the following tasks: - Remove existing roof and associated components down to the existing roof deck or sheathing without causing damage. - Install new GAF Slateline shingles in English Gray Slate color, as approved by the State Historical Preservation Office (SHPO). - Repair any damaged roof deck or framing as needed. - Provide a lightning protection system certified by a UL Listed installer. - Replace gutters and downspouts with continuous metal systems and install concrete splash blocks. - Make repairs to fascia and soffit, including replacing wood fascia behind gutters and cleaning existing soffit. - Ensure compliance with all operational security (OPSEC) and anti-terrorism (AT) requirements during construction. - Submit a project schedule within 14 days of Notice to Proceed, along with required material submittals for approval. - Provide warranties on materials and workmanship, including a minimum one-year warranty on work performed and a five-year water tightness warranty on the roofing system.
