Background

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, is issuing an invitation for bids (IFB) for a firm-fixed-price contract to construct a new wastewater treatment system at its Harry S. Truman Project Office in Warsaw, Missouri. The project aims to enhance the facility's infrastructure and ensure proper waste management. Work Details: The project involves the installation of a new wastewater treatment system for the Powerhouse and Maintenance facility. Key tasks include: - Utilizing portions of the existing sewer pipe; - Adding new septic tanks; - Constructing a new leach field; - Demolishing the existing comfort station; - Removing and/or abandoning some utilities; - Installing a new sewer line, septic tanks, lift station, and leach field for a new comfort station; - Providing utilities for a pre-cast concrete replacement comfort station; and - Installing an aggregate pad. Additionally, the existing lagoon will be removed and graded to create a usable surface. Period of Performance: The estimated period of performance for completion of the work is 270 calendar days from the issuance of notice to proceed. Place of Performance: Warsaw, Missouri
