Background The Department of Transportation & Public Facilities, Division of Alaska Marine Highway System, is soliciting bids for supplemental landing craft service from Juneau, AK to Pelican, AK for the year of 2026. This service is intended to be as-needed for an estimated two to six trips throughout the year. Work Details The contractor will provide landing craft services with the following operational parameters: - Vessel and crew must meet all USCG licensing requirements for the intended service. - Open deck cargo space of 20’ x 60’. - Cargo carrying capacity of 150,000 pounds. - Ability to load and transport two (2) each 28-foot loaded freezer vans. The contract is a firm fixed price contract and will be administered by the procurement officer or an appointed person from the Department of Transportation & Public Facilities. Period of Performance The contract will commence upon award and continue through December 31, 2026. Place of Performance The work will be performed between Juneau, Alaska and Pelican, Alaska. Bidder Requirements Bidders must hold a valid Alaska business license prior to the deadline for receipt of bids. They must also have at least three years of experience operating Landing Craft or similar vessels in Northern Southeast Alaska and be USCG Certified. Each vessel captain must have at least two years of experience on similar vessels.
