WAREHOUSE MOVE - SPOKANE VALLEY, WA INTRODUCTION This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2025-06, effective October 1, 2025. This acquisition is set aside for small business. DESCRIPTION The US Geological Survey, Geology, Minerals, Energy, and Geophysics Science Center requires moving services as described in the attached Statement of Work.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 484210 Used Household and Office Goods Moving and associated size standard $34.0 million applies to this announcement, along with Product Service Code V001 Transportation/Travel/Relocation. This service is subject to the Service Contract Labor Standards Wage Determination# WD 2015-5537.
All services will begin performance at the U.S. Geological Survey warehouse at 11103 East Montgomery, Spokane Valley, WA 99206. There will be a site visit on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 10:00am PT. Please limit the number of people in your party to two, meet at the entrance of the building, and wait to be escorted. Attendance is not required but strongly encouraged. RSVP to the Contracting Officer at eadam@usgs.gov by January 28, 2026, at 10:00am. Background The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), specifically the Geology, Minerals, Energy, and Geophysics Science Center, is seeking moving services for a warehouse relocation project. This acquisition is set aside for small businesses and aims to facilitate the efficient transfer of various materials from their current warehouse in Spokane Valley, WA to a new location in downtown Spokane. The goal is to ensure that all items are moved safely and organized according to USGS specifications. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor and materials necessary for the move, which includes: - Supplying moving materials, packing, and moving records collections, file cabinets, rock samples, rock storage cabinets, and storage shelving from the USGS warehouse at 11103 E Montgomery, Spokane Valley, WA to designated rooms at 904 W. Riverside Ave., Spokane, WA. - Moving contents from two storage rooms at the warehouse to the new location and relocating three map cabinets back to the warehouse. - Removing document boxes from shelving, repacking damaged boxes into new ones while transferring labels and securing lids. - Disassembling shelving associated with records boxes for transport and reassembling it in designated positions at the new location. - Shrink-wrapping file cabinets for transport and placing them in specified locations upon arrival. - Packaging rock samples in boxes or buckets with padding to prevent breakage; tracking their original placement during transport; palletizing these items securely for shipping; unpacking them at the new location; and restoring them to their original drawers. - Coordinating with USGS personnel on indexing or annotating materials prior to the move to ensure proper placement. Period of Performance The estimated period of performance for this contract is from February 23, 2026, to March 26, 2026. Place of Performance The contract work will be performed at two locations: the USGS warehouse located at 11103 East Montgomery, Spokane Valley, WA and the new USGS office located at 904 W. Riverside Ave., Spokane, WA.
