Background The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is seeking temporary lodging services for personnel participating in the Sail 250 event, a major maritime celebration marking the nation's 250th anniversary. This event will take place in Boston, which will serve as the last port of call for over 20 historic international Tall Ships, attracting thousands of spectators. The Coast Guard and Coast Guard Auxiliary will require accommodations for over 100 personnel during this significant event. Work Details The contractor shall provide up to 100 rooms adequately equipped for the period from July 6, 2026 (check-in) to July 17, 2026 (check-out). The rooms may be dual occupancy with shared bathrooms and must include linen, towels, and pillows. They should have sufficient ventilation for July weather and be clean and free of obstructions affecting egress. No construction should occur nearby that could disturb members' rest. The exact number of rooms required may change, with notification given prior to check-in. The location must be practical and accessible within Boston, close to public transportation and food options, and within a reasonable commuting distance to the North End (5-7 miles). Daily room rates must not exceed $291 per member per day. Additional requirements include a full indoor laundry facility with 24/7 guest access, internet access in every room, and daily or upon check-out room cleaning preference. Safety protocols must be established for any hazardous materials present at the lodging location, with immediate notification to members. The facility should provide 24/7 assistance for lodging or safety issues and have security patrols available. Period of Performance The total period needed for lodging is from July 6, 2026 to July 17, 2026. Place of Performance Boston, Massachusetts.
