Background The Massachusetts Trial Court, through its Office of Court Management, Facilities Management & Capital Planning, is issuing a contract for repairs at the Roderick Ireland Courthouse. The mission of this project is to ensure the operational efficiency and safety of the courthouse's heating system by replacing critical components of the Aerco Benchmark 2.0 Boilers. The estimated construction cost for this project is $60,000. Work Details The contractor will provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to replace one (1) boiler control board and three (3) burner assemblies in the Roderick Ireland Courthouse Boiler Room located at 50 State Street, Springfield MA. Specifically, the work includes: - Removal and disposal of existing burner assemblies in Boilers #1, 2 & 4. - Purchase and installation of new burner assemblies (Aerco Part #24314) in Boilers #1, 2 & 4. - Purchase and installation of a replacement control board (Aerco Part #27112-2) in Boiler #1. - Commissioning and combustion test reports. Additionally, all necessary state and local permits must be supplied by the contractor and included in the price. CORI checks are required for all on-site personnel before work begins. The work must be warrantied for one year from completion. Period of Performance The work is expected to start upon contract award with substantial completion required by June 30, 2026. All invoicing must also be completed by this date. Place of Performance Roderick Ireland Courthouse, 50 State Street, Springfield MA 01103. Bidder Requirements Bidders must submit a bid deposit of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid amount payable to the Massachusetts Trial Court. All contractors must possess a Prime/General Contractor Certificate of Eligibility issued by DCAMM. Additionally, all employees working on-site must have completed a minimum of 10 hours of OSHA-approved construction safety training.
