Background The Travis County Sheriff's Office (TCSO) is seeking bids for the procurement of heat sealed blister packs and cards, along with related items necessary for the distribution of medication to inmates. This solicitation aims to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations regarding medication administration in correctional facilities. The contract will support TCSO's mission to maintain health and safety standards within the jail system. Work Details The contractor will provide the following products and services: - Heat sealed blister packs/cards in 30 count and 60 count packages, specifically designed for medication distribution. - Specific blister pack types include: - M-Card, 30 ct Heat Sealed Pill Card (side fold), sealed dimensions 6”x9”, approximately 4000-4500 units/month. - M-Blister, 30 ct LG, 3/8”, approximately 2000-2500 units/month. - M-Blister, 30 ct XL, ½”, approximately 2000-2500 units/month. - M-Card, 60 ct Heat Sealed Pill Card (side fold), sealed dimensions 6”x9”, approximately 2000-2500 units/month. - M-Blister, 60 ct XL, ½”, approximately 2000-2500 units/month. - Pill pass stickers with dimensions of 1 7/16” x 3/8”. - Sealing paddles: three of the one card paddle and one of the two card paddle for both the 30’s and the 60’s annually. - Autofiller brushes: three brushes every six months compatible with autofiller equipment. - Miscellaneous items for maintenance of the heat sealer including various filters and fuses as specified in the bid document. Period of Performance The contract will be for a period of one year from the date of award, with options to extend for up to four additional one-year periods and three additional one-month periods. Place of Performance The contract will be performed in Travis County, Texas. Bidder Requirements Bidders must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding environmental compliance and safety records. Contractors must maintain insurance coverage as specified in the solicitation documents. Additionally, bidders are required to submit a Certificate of Interested Parties (Form 1295) if awarded a contract.
