Background The City of Vancouver, located in Washington, is responsible for vital municipal infrastructure and urban services. This includes building and repairing roads, maintaining water and sewer services, and providing fire and police protection. The contract for the NE 65th Avenue Sanitary Sewer Upsize aims to enhance the city's sewer infrastructure to accommodate a growing population projected to exceed 268,000 by 2042. Work Details The contractor shall remove and dispose of approximately 1,917 linear feet of 8-inch concrete pipe and furnish and install approximately 1,917 linear feet of 10-inch C-900 DR-18 minimum pipe. The work includes customer notification, bypass pumping, reinstatement of all laterals, testing, final CCTV inspection, and any other tasks required to complete the work. Additional tasks include re-channeling and epoxy or polyurethane lining of 16 manholes of various depths for corrosion prevention, removal and replacement of one 48-inch concrete manhole, replacement of existing manhole steps, and removal of two additional 48-inch manholes. Period of Performance The work shall be physically complete within 60 working days from the Notice to Proceed. Place of Performance The contract will be performed in Vancouver, Washington. Bidder Requirements Bidders must comply with Washington state regulations including having a certificate of registration in compliance with relevant RCWs (e.g., plumbing contractor license), a current Washington Unified Business Identifier (UBI) number, industrial insurance coverage for employees working in Washington, and compliance with apprenticeship utilization requirements. Bidders must also submit a list of subcontractors for specific trades as part of their bid.
