Background The contract is issued by the 1SOLRS/LGRV for the repair of a 2014 Pierce P-22 fire-engine chassis, registration number 14L00096. The goal of this contract is to ensure the fire engine is restored to operational condition through comprehensive engine repairs and servicing, which aligns with the agency's mission to maintain effective firefighting capabilities. Work Details The vendor will perform all necessary work and labor on the fire-engine chassis, including: sourcing, quoting, and replacing the engine long block with either a crate engine or a remanufactured long block from a reputable source. Supporting documentation for remanufactured engines must include machined specifications and compression details. The vendor will remove serviceable engine accessories, inspect them for functionality, and replace any unserviceable parts after obtaining approval from the 1SOCONS Contract Manager. All removed components must be re-installed and sealed according to manufacturer specifications. The vendor will also service all fluid systems (engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid, transmission fluid) and provide evidence of fluid changes along with filter part numbers. Additionally, the vendor will install and time the fuel system to meet EPA emissions standards, service the air conditioning system in compliance with EPA guidelines, and perform pump tests according to NFPA guidelines while providing performance data sheets. A warranty of one year (365 days) will apply to all serviced systems and components. Period of Performance The work is expected to be completed within 120 days from the award of the contract.
